What's a good way to run a survey for the lawn care without breaking the bank?

I'm a student from Stanford University doing some research on technology's impact on traditional industry/business, and the frustrations people are facing in terms of health, stress, time management, and communication needs.

So I wandered around Google looking for initial point of contacts that would help me maneuver through some of the the techniques people've been used to reach out to survey participants in lawn care (one of the industry I've picked out), and I couldn't find a good list of mailing or e-mail contacts that I can start a conversation with. I wonder anyone would know this type of resource in this forum? Ideally I'm looking for ways to reach out to 30-50 freelance people and 10-20 business owners.

Thoughts and ideas?

Isn't there a list of of the top 100 lawn care business owners somewhere on this site?

Maybe contact Turf magazine?

SurveyMonkey is one that pops up to mind first, but there's many more.
You know, the usual stuff and more...
