Smile Thinking about selling our lawn care business

Does anyone know of a reliable site to list our lawn care business. We have 122 monthly accounts, the majority our customers have been with us for 5 years or more. We make a decent living but the summers are hell. Time to try something else.

Yes summer can be hell but u got to remember the nice winter months. What will u be doing after lawn care to be making the same good money? You got 100+ accounts witch will be tough to match money wise in a different career unless u have some serious education.
I have thought about this before but I like working my own hours and making decent money that a 9-5 job may not bring in.

Sarasotas one of the nicest parts of the state too. Not to hard to get proper prices there. The city itslef has a much cleaner feel to it too than say Tampa bay area. Would consider it if the family wasn't so firmly entrenched here.

Naples and Collier County has the Highest average income in the state But Sarasota is Second highest median income in the state. Sarasota also has a Low crime rate and a tad better schools. Sarasota has a combination of Industry and Tourism that keeps the Sarasota economy strong and stable. Let us not forget Sarasota Bay and Gulf of Mexico have some of the most beautiful clear Blue water you can find in Florida. From a business stand point, the Sarasota Market is the place you want to be. But then Sarasota has been talked about several times on Lawnsite and I am sure everyone will agree.

I wouldn't mind down sizing my business by selling off all My L&O pest control accounts. But my little town has No Industry, No Tourism and the oldest average age population in the world. Things move pretty slow around here AND I LIKE IT THAT WAY. I can drive to my Northern most account or to my most southern account in a half hour even in high tourism season.

I think you would be making a big mistake if you're just tired of dealing with the heat. Get some guys man that area is blowing up and Bradenton. I know from PRECO and FPL accounts I work for we have a ton of work coming in for that area. That lakewood ranch area is on fire right now. I know some of the communities are all inclusive but some are not. Get a good foreman and labor and sell a few more accounts and run the show. I know I SOLD and I almost regret it everyday. Yea I might make a little bit more money now and slightly less headaches but the freedom I gave up is irreplaceable. The beautiful winters off every other and traveling I could do is going to make me hit it hard after this last year of socking away a few more bucks from these Power COs. Hell one bad day might just make me put in my notice.

Actually the Founding Father misspelled Punta Gorda on the original incorporation Papers. They left out the N in punta. So instead of translating as Fat Point, Fla. it is Fat Who**, Fla. That is a short version of the True Story.

Poor Charlotte was actually started as a Land scam by none other than Meyer Lansky of Mafia fame. As a result most lots and home were sold to Union Members which the Mafia controlled. The longest street is called EASY ST. This was done in the early 1950's at the same time as the Mafia was in Cuba and Las Vega building Legal Casinos. My Uncle was one of the first 5 salesman for general development the shell company owned by Meyer Lansky and friends.

To this day the County has no industry or tourism and the County Fathers don't want any. It is truly GOD"S WAITING ROOM.

BTW I don't live in Charlotte County any more and haven't for many years.
