Scag 52 walk behind

I just sold my scag belt drive 48 and bought a hydro 52 walk behind.
Love the cut, love the power, but it seems a bit touchy on the controls end of things to the point its hard to mow a straight line because its such a touchy machine, any input from you guys who run them every day

My Scag 36 is the same way and I hate it. To make matters even worse, the left side is even more touchy than the right. Hopefully someone knows a way to smooth out the controls.

Throttle down a little until you get used to it.

They are touchy

If they were used equipment change the hydro oil to the correct weight oil. The thinner the oil the touchier the controls.

Handles a little different than your Taurus, huh Greg? You're just not used to it yet. Give it time and you'll figure it out.
