Say goes... You get what you pay for.

About 4-5 years ago I gave this couple a design and estimate for their front area that are in the pictures, which was the same concept but a little different. They decided to go with the cheaper guy that had just started in the business.

So the told me it failed within the first year and he did redo it free of charge. Then it failed a second time and he didn't want to deal with it anymore. Now they called me back to help them fix it. They were a little ashamed and said they have learned their lesson about choosing solely on price. Now they are going to have to spend $1000's more to fix it. It is pretty funny but I'm sure they are kicking themselves for it. Sometimes we learn the hard way.

Sometimes people need to learn a lesson. I get it when people go with the cheapo guys for mowing, even mulch installs. But for serious hard scaping I'll never understand why "this might not turn out right" never crosses their minds.

I was looking at a ad on Craigslist for some thing. I like the saying on one when you buy quality it only hurts once.

I understand.

We are starting a similar project in a week.
I felt bad for the old guy because it is going to be an expensive fix.

Sorry but that is just the way it is.

I saw an install this week very close to our shop.

Low landscape wall probably about 1' tall and about 30' long.
Also a ring about 6' in diameter and about 1' up on an existing tree trunk

Couple of guys and about 4 hours later it is all finished.

I am sure that one will last a long time
