How to get a ZTR unstuck!

I've gotten stuck twice in the last week. First time, I got stuck in some mud near a pond in someones backyard. I just had a couple friends come push me out. Second time(today), I'm mowing my backyard and try to go around the bonfire pit and slide down the hill in the back. It's about 15 feet down a hill that is about 100ft long at about a 35-45 degree angle. I've got my dad and my brother who I've recruited to help get me up the hill but I'm not sure what the easiest way to do that would be.

Any help or stories of your own situations would be great!

I always use my truck. It's only happened twice and both times I wasn't to far from pavement.
You can never have to much horsepower or too much money.... It's just hard to have both.

I leave my mowers on the trailer until the soil is dry enough to support the weight.

That's what the second mower and the rope and chain we carry is for. Iv pulled myself out of more spots then i can remember over the years with the second mower.

Years ago living in California I bought a come along from Home Depot in San Jose, for a tree stump removal in my front yard, since then it has served me many times here in Australia on jobs where I get in trouble and can't access with my truck.
The worst case was down below a house on a narrow block and no car access, I had it half way up, it was a really hot December day last working day before Christmas and I wanted to see if I could drive it out from there, well I ended up back down where I started, the tires has just filled with red clay and there were no traction, took me another 45 min to get it all the way out, was a while before I went back down there with the Ride_On.

Great in theory, but so is socialism.

Mower, truck, manpower, horse, quad, skidsteer, tractor whatever is close and will work without destroying lawns.
