One thing I do know about the baffles is the mower without the baffles had less buildup of grass than the one with baffles it has been raining a lot and my yards have been tall and wet. We don't cut in the rain but there not drying out with this cloudy cool weather we're havering.

Much better discharge with the baffles removed and I didnt see any difference in the way it cuts. I will be keeping the baffles off from here on out. It spread the clippings out in a much better fan pattern.
