2001 Hustler Z - Used Value

Hi all -

I have a 2001 Hustler Z - 60", 23HP Kaw, 450 hours. I'm the original owner and it was never used commercially. I've enlarged the deck opening, changed out the spindles to run later year straight blades with no saddles, installed a separate choke lever, installed the elevated canister air filter, and I installed an OCDC. Motor runs great and as do the pumps/wheel motors. There are no issues with the mower.

I am going to sell it and I'm trying to figure out how much to ask for it. I'm having a hard time coming up with a figure. We paid close to $7k in 2001. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

When it comes to used equipment I suggest going to Craigs List/ebay sites and see what your area is bringing in price. A unit will be more expensive is some areas and a steal in others. Craigs list will give you your local far market price.
If others wish to suggest prices I'll forward them along.

Did I do good on this deal?

I put a deposit down on a Super Z 60 this afternoon and will pay the rest when it is delivered tomorrow afternoon. I didn't ask the MY, but it has 1600 hours on the meter and has the clam shell vac system on it. In conversation the seller told me he gets a new one every 3 - 5 years and his new one gets delivered this week. He said that the new one is running him $15K and the one I got was around $13.5K when new. I'm guessing it is an '09 or '10 because it does not have the new style deck on it from the photos I have seen. The vac blower was rebuilt last year, I get an extra front wheel and tire, deck belt, plastic chute for when the blower comes off and the rear guard in case I take off the clam shell bagger. I gave him $5300 for it which was his bottom line off of a $5500 asking price. He claimed that was the amount the dealer would give him on a trade, so he would take no less.
