Question for those using liquid

At what overall volume are you spraying your fertilizer?

I used to use 2.6 gallons per thousand sq ft. But only because I could not get it up to 3 gals per thousand.
I covered about 1500 sqft per minute.

Riggle, what kind of sprayer is this if you don't mind me asking?

I'm using 3gpm per 1K @50psig for fertilizer and 4gpm/K@70psig for fungicides.

I'm seeing quite a bit of burn from ammonium sulfate spraying at 3 gpm. Just trying to compare numbers.

How much AMS are you applying per k. A full pound is of AMS is 2.7 lb's but that would be extreme. You are on warm season so it is probably different than my cool season grasses. When it is hot, above 80F I wouldn't spray AMS unless it is watered in within an hour of application.

I put 1 lb per k on Bermuda. Had a little yellowing but not bad. Applied 0.5 lb per K on centipede and st. ausgustine with some pretty bad burn on yards with lots of sun. Would spraying at a higher volume followed by immediate irrigation alleviate the yellowing?
