dump trailer back/door extension

I have a 12ft dump trailer that I have 2 ft side extensions on that I also hinged and use in the back like barn doors. however I don't like this the doors don't line up to lock in place if the walls are jared a little. anyone have a set up they would be willing to share before this leaf season.

I hinged mine at the top....perpendicular to the side boards. So it's a dump door, not barn doors. Works fine

No pics right now sorry.

Yeah there's a piece of angle iron running along the top (the actual wooden door is bolted to this). At each end of the angle there's a 1" rod welded. The rod slides into a hole on either side of the trailer, so the door swings out when dumping.

I know this is probobly a crappy description......,I'll try to get a pic in the next few days....it won't be on the trailer though obviously.

Would like something that can stay year round so would need to dump brush and do large mulch jobs out if that's why I went barn door but open to see what will improve
