First of all, generally, if the HPOP fails, it fails. There is no middle ground.

Second, start simple. Have you had the Crank Position Sensor replaced?

Then check the wiring harnesses under the head covers, after a long time the plastic gets brittle and will cause issues.

CEL should have a code stored as stated.

We went back to 7.3's in our fleet after leaving them in 06 for newer trucks. We came back for reliability. If anyone is running multiple 7.3 and 6.0,check into dp tuners infinity. Program up to 30 trucks, and a scanner All in one. Technology has came a long way since I last had a 7.3. The dp produces great power.

DP tuner has blown up more 7.3's than all other tuners combined. Worst tuning I ever ran in a 7.3 hands down.

Matt at gearhead has the best custom tunes without a doubt.

Personal opinion. His tunes smoke really bad and gas mileage is terrible.

Ive personally watched him tune trucks at the track and conistsently run 3 tenths quicker than other tuners....with less smoke. No opinions here. Matter of fact, that day is what made me start running his tunes.

No issues with smoke, and I consistently get 14.5 mpg towing 4k pounds. You are the first person I have EVER heard complain about his tunes.
