You could hear the gallery go crazy when he was on a roll.Tiger was great at dominating the entire game. Jack was more likable than Tiger in my opinion. I can't remember Jack having tantrums or lashing out at fans. He was always a class act. Why did Tiger attract fans better than Phil?
Basketball had Michael Jordon, for example, as someone who could really attract many people to the game who never watched before.
You just never know when a Super star will come along that has it. Rory maybe the one, who knows.. Why did MJ attract fans better than Larry Bird?
I guess it is the way you win they has something to do with it
Actually Jack got booed until Arnold got old.

No one in the History of Golf had the following that Arnold Palmer had.

Arnies Army.

Jack did take the reigns over Palmer.

The rivalry also existed off the course. Jack never could too this day could compete in the business World as well as Palmer.

I could not stand Tom Watson. Always a pain in Jacks side. Like a little robot. Getting in the way of Jacks right to win every tournament. I don't think Tom ever had a really bad day of golf

I am pretty sure I saw that US open in 82. You could tell Jack felt sorry for Tom and let him have one.

It was the best Tournment Ive ever seen on TV. I remember watching it Nicklaus had 5 birdies on the front nine. For a while in the telecast they actually didnt show Watson, I think the 40' putt on 14 was tape delayed.

A buddy of mine was watching it with me, he was a Nicklaus Fan, he literally fell out of his chair when Watson sank the chip on 17.
