12V LED E12 Base? (Line Volt Conversion)

So an electrician referred a job to me where the client has a bunch of carriage lamps that she wants mounted on top of columns along a flower bed. The big issue is they are all line voltage fixtures and given the way everything was roughed in, getting the wiring to code to install them would be very difficult/expensive.

The idea here is to convert the fixtures to 12V and treat them as landscape lighting. I've found a few E12/candelabra LED replacement bulbs for 12V but they seem scarce (and I need 33 of them) not to mention there is very little literature about their lighting properties.

Anyone have experience with this sort of thing? Thanks!

So are the fixtures and the led bulbs the same size base? Would you not be able to just run a landscape lighting wire to each of them from either a hardwire or plug in landscape transformer?

Thats the idea. I'll be running landscape wire from an LX transformer to these plus other landscape lighting. I just need a 12V bulb that will fit the E12 (candelabra) bases.

Oh. I misunderstood your problem your asking. Have you done a Google search to see if there's a base conversion device which converts the regular light bulb base to the 12 volt led base? I'm sure someone else has run into the situation and invented some device for this situation.

Check with Roger Shank, the Brilliance TX rep. He should be able to guide you to a convenient distributor. You can find his contact info on the Brilliance LED website.
