f350 10 ft bed or f450 12ft bed

I plan on buying a stake bed truck. I found 2 that would be perfect for seal coating. I currently have a 550 gallon tank. Would the f350 be enough truck to haul my tank or would the f450 be more realistic. They both need some work for inspection so regardless i will have to put some money into both of them. However the f350 does have a new engine in it. I just wanted to hear some thoughts before i purchase one

Tank Is going in the bed or is it trailered? I wanna say that you're pushing the limits on the 350 but I don't all the specs in front of me. Depends I guess on what else you want to put on the truck/tow and if you'd end up using it for something else too.

It will be going on the bed I'll be able to register it class 5 which is 11-14k. I'll only use the truck to seal coat

im sure the 350 could handle it fine but you most likely wont be legal unless you don't fill it completely. go for the 450 that's what we run with a 500gal tank on it. if the 350 is a dually then they're most likely the same size trucks except the length. so with 2 more feet of bed and a heavier duty truck the 450 would be better. you'll be legal and have alil more room to work with on the bed for other stuff.
