What does a solo guy need for fall clean ups

Just thinking about adding some fall cleanups to the repertoire. I will only be doing smaller residential types, with a few trees and bushes etc. What equipment is generally used/needed for this type of work. Thanks in advance.

It depends on how you will dispose of the leaves.

I live fairly close to a landfill. Although that makes me wonder what the best way to "dispose" of the leaves/branches/whatever else may be there is?

If you have to take them a short distance, you could use a blower, lawn mower, 5 or so barrels . Blow the leaves out of beds onto the lawn. Place the barrels randomly around the property. Mow the leaves and fill the barrels. Dump the barrels onto the truck, when all are full and repeat. When done take to the landfill, if they accept them. Or keep them in the barrels and take the barrels to the landfill. You might need more barrels. If you are putting them at the curb for municipal pick up, a rake and a tarp to drag them to the curb works, after you blow out the beds.

Yeah, but the job would have to be large enough for that expense.

I'm a solo operator and I do leaf cleanups on my own. Depending on the size of the yard, I use my backpack blower and blow the leaves into a couple rows in the yard. I place trash cans along the sides and run my Honda walk behind mower over the rows emptying bag as needed.

Eventually, with the leaves left on the ground I can't pick up, I blow them into piles and use a rake and put them in trash cans.

the amount of leaves you are describing must have blown there from some place that actually has leaves to clean up in the first place.

This wouldn't work anywhere (especially with a little honda) that has even a moderate amount of fall clean up to do.
