Ill post some pictures next time I'm on the laptop, unless there is a way to do it from an iPhone on this forum.

There is a way to do it but I have no idea, would make my life easier if I knew lol . Do you guys own a grinder for your land clearing operation? Sounds like you got quite the company!

There is no doubt when it comes to lifting the 308 has it all over a 5-6 ton, pieces the 50 could only lift over the blade the 308 easily lifted and traveled with forward and backward and over the side even. Will be interested to see how the trenching goes with 18" buckets.

What year is the 308?

Currently we only have a whole tree chipper and haul off stumps for disposal, we have looked at grinders but never had the workload to buy one.

Couple pics from the last two months we still have the 308 on rent. As it stands now I don't think we will be carrying out purchase side of this deal basically because of the price vs production. Obviously they aren't the same brand but when we can get two Bobcat E50's with the same equipment for basically one 308 its tough to justify. The 308 size machine defiantly has its niche and it certainly can trench faster especially when loading a triaxle but its a tough nut to crack looking at the $ and cents. Hands down it obviously lifts more then the E50 as well, but again lift enough to justify the $? not quite atleast in our case. Also, for a zero hour machine there were some reliability issues in the last two months, not that it only happens to Cat but still for the $ these things shouldn't crop up as frequently as they do. Cat dealer made it right with a replacement machine but it still leads to some down time and on rate jobs every second counts.
