Don't get a mower with a Gemini hydro unless you can work on things. That is through 04. The g2 or t series are the way to go. Diesel is awesome but the 90's ones are dogs. I thing the 721d is under powered no matter which way to slice it. If what you cut is always maintained it will do fine. As far as the motors go I have 2k on my hopper and doesn't miss a beat. My kubota is reaching 1500k and hasn't had an issue. I expect both mower to have more than 5k before I have issues.
