I'd really like to get this deck back together, is there anywhere else online i could quickly get one of these gears?
Walker part# P057. Peerless part # 7062P1 (Bevel Gear 15 tooth steel)
The gearbox should be Walker part #5052-6

778348 is a 15 tooth gear used on the horizontal shaft of a Peerless gearbox. I believe that the spline size may be different.

The DSD56 decks after 99 should be using cast iron boxes. The 5053-6 is the RH, the 5052-6 is LH and the 5058-6 is a "T" box mounted vertically for the center blade.
The number listed is the Peerless number. All three boxes list the same gear numbers for the 15 and 18 tooth gear.

CAST IRON PEERLESS GEARBOX 1050-005 (WALKER P/N 5053-6)
7062P1 Bevel Gear (15 teeth-steel) 1
6496P1 Bevel Gear (18 teeth-steel) 1

I guess this deck is older. It's got aluminum gear boxes. The number in that particular box is 1000-094 I think. I'm out if town so I can't double check it. The PDF seems to be labeled wrong it has the horizontal shaft gear listed as 15 tooth and the vertical shaft gear listed as 18. Which is backward from what I have in my boxes. Ive busted this same gear before but on the other side. And I'm pretty sure I ordered the one labeled 15 tooth. Even though it shows it in the wrong location I wish the websites included the shaft sizes in their descriptions

I had someone check the Walker Service Instructions dated July 2006.
ALUMINUM PEERLESS GEARBOX 1000-094 (WALKER P/N 5053-2)
Walker part# P057 Peerless# 7062P1 Bevel Gear (15 teeth-steel)
Walker part# P057. Peerless# 6496P1. Bevel Gear (18 teeth-steel)
Walker only sells the gears as a set, thus the same Walker part number

OK guys, i just wanted to give anybody that was following this thread and update.
I've broke this same gear on the other side several years ago. ( yes i'm using walker shear bolts, dont ask me why they failed to shear ) when i looked up the parts here http://www.odref.com/peerless/differ...-1000-094A.pdf its shows part 13 ( the gear on the vertical shaft) as an 18 tooth gear.
it shows part 14 (gear on horizontal shaft) as 15 toot gear. That is the opposite of what is actually physically in the gear box. I did as much research as possible to try and find if the drawing was labled wrong or the part #s were listed wrong and didnt really come up with much, so i just took a chance and ordered the one they called the 15 tooth and ignored the fact that the drawing showed it as the wrong gear. The part was back ordered then so they couldnt give me any physical characteristics. I got the gear and it was the right gear. the part number i listed above is what i ordered this time (778348), proper # of teeth and splines, i'm putting it together right now. I dont know if some of the other part numbers yall listed are just cross references and will work also. but what I ordered is what i needed. As far as walker parts and part numbers, my current dealership is pretty sorry, and i've had them tell me and other customers in the past that they cant get parts for the gear boxes and just replace the whole thing. I dont know if its because they are to dumb or to lazy to disassemble, order parts and reassemble or that they are to lazy. Anyways, thanks for all the looking/checking and help you all did on this post and in the forum as a whole.
