photo help
Ok I know this has been asked before but I really seem to be stuck here and would appreciate some help. I have been trying to post photos from my digital camera or other files and I keep getting that the file is too large. How do i go about shrinking (compressing) the file? Again no help will be turned away. By the way I've only been on lawnsite for a couple of weeks now and I have to admit Ithink I'm an addict!

The pics cant be any bigger than 640x480...
look for a 'resize' or 'resample' function in your photo program on your computer. Then resize the pic to 640x480 or smaller... Dave |

Woodycrest is right on the money... look for a resize feature in your photo program.
If your using Photoshop go under image then image resize. then change the numbers under width and height. The smaller the number, the smaller the picture size will be. If you want to use something like Microsoft Paint to edit the picture size which is available on most pc's, go under image then attributes and adjust the height and width to smaller numbers. Hope this helps.

Max file size is 800 x 800 ... so, your typical 800 x 600 should work fine.
