Apologize and Customer Question

First of all I apologize to anyone that had asked me for a copy of my contracts. Now that we are finally back on line, I will gladly share them with whomever wanted them....

Also, does anyone have any type of letter they send to their customers at the begining of the season? A letter that is like...hope the holidays were good, hope your coming back to us and what else can we do for you. Thanks for any help.

I know that a lot of companies send letters out, but I prefer to call them. I'm just starting to call them now. I feel that it kind of puts them on the spot to say that I'll be on for this season. I retain about 95 percent of my customers anyway. My .02 cents.
Sorry I can't help with a form letter.

I highly recommend personal contact. I take the time in late Feb. to visit each customer. If they are not home I leave one of my advertising post-it notes on the front door and follow-up with a phone call within two days. I have found my retention is high and I pick up additional work before the season really starts.

I send them all a letter stating the services scheduled. It also offers them the opportunity to prepay for the season and make add or remove any services before the season starts. This way I can make sure that I have enough help when the season starts.
