F-250 coil springs

I have a 2001 ford F-250 2 wheel drive and i want to put a leveling kit on it to make it look higher in the front. Are the front coil springs compressed or are they the same size when you take them out. i was wondering this because the 2" spacer goes on top of the spring.

Check out about putting some air bags on the front. These really work great. They fit inside the coils, and are load adjustable.

How is the ride with the airbags? I have a 2001 F250 Crew Cab 2WD. I hate how Ford products always nose down in the front. I've been looking at options as well to level the front end.
