20 hp kohler problem

:blob3: i have a 20 hp kohler on a hydro walk behind, the problem is im not getting nothing when trying to start, not even a cllicking from the solenoid under the carb. i tried everything, switches, even the harness from another exact machine. if i jump the starter i get the starter to turn, fuse are good as well. ant help would be great. tony

first clean both battery cables and the ground wire at the frame make sure battery is good take test light ground to frame check hot post on battery does it light? check hot lead from battery to soleniod does it light? check the small wire on soleniod does it light when you turn key to start? check key switch clean all post . one will make light stay on all the time . one will make light come on only when you try to start it is this wire hot? check each safty switch if they are part of the start wireing -<does it have to be in neutral to start blade disengageed check these switches does it make the light come on > this is a place to start
