Thanks guys. It was fun to work on. I have added a second assist and it is sweet. One hand to lift it now. I tested the gate out with my jeep and it worked great. No sag.
I am now working on my blower and trimmer racks. I am having trouble figuring out how to protect the handles of the trimmers from getting banged up by the metel. I sprayed them with a spray on bed liner. That didn't work because the trimmer rubbed it off after a few days of driving it around town. Any ideas?

I haven't done this yet ( I haven't got my racks built yet) but I intend on going to an electrical supply and getting some large heat shrink for mine. I think that it will work. You're welcome to try my idea. If it works let me know.
