I should of went in to more detail. I have used walkbehinds for 2 years and yes im too fat. But i got to the point that standing and then trimming was taking a toll on my legs. I am a solo operator and my Dad helps me on a couple properties each week. Last week I turned out more work in less time than ever, we had rain 3 days and I was 2 days behind. By saturday night I had done 4 days work in 3 and I felt good when I got home each night. That is another reason I like my ztr.
The Tiger cub is the 1st I ever have owned and I am pleased. I weighed the difference of the toro and exmark and the john deere and for the money the scag was the best buy for the money. All of the other mowers could /or are as good as the others. I havent used the stander but it is simalar to a walk behind and with the deck out front i would say it would trim under bushes better, I know there are some guys on here that could do a better comparision of the 2 than me, they have a stander

I have a 2002 GD 52 inch with a 25 Kohler Chariot. It has been a great mower. I really like the center mount controls.

Loud mouth
Give your local Deere dealer a call, think you might find the new deluxe seat and 2004 pricing attractive.

Hey loud mouth,

i just upgraded from a 36" belt drive to a 48" tigercub and I love it so far! takes up a bit of space ofn the trailer but sitting and driving is the best. I looked at deere but they were 1k more and had just changed their design to different pump and other. For the price i think the scag is a great buy.
