Mower Settings.. Help!!
Hey Guys, I have 7 mower settings on my john deere mower. what should i keep it at? Should the front be lower than the back? Its a self propelled push mower. Any feedback would be a good help. I allways kept it at the middle throughout the season. Thanks! What setting should i keep it at?

First of all it depends on where you are and what type of grass. Fescue try cutting it to 2.5 - 3". You should put your mower on a hard flat surface like a garage floor. point the blade straight foreward. measure from the front of the blade tip to the floor. then the same for the rear. never cut more than a third of the grasses blade at a time. Good sharp blades always. and yes the front of the deck is slightly lower than the rear, try about 1/8' but no more than 1/4". Hope this helps
