I once Rounduped a small juniper bed full of grass.Told client only way was to kill everything - but all the juniper survived. Done the same with Euonymous. The key is when the plants are actively growing. Around here, euonymous is a heavy spring grower, but shuts down in the fall; so you can overspray euonymous in late fall, when grass is still actively growing.

Juniper does its heaviest growth here late in the year, hardly does anything in springtime. So you could overspray in spring for least damage.

Fusilade will kill grasses in beds. It can be sprayed over the top of most ornamentals.

Use lontrel and go right over the top. It kills a number of braodleaf weeds including thistle and won't touch the juniper.

1/4 oz per 2 gal H2O.
