Resupplying water to a pond via sprinkler system

Hey has anyone taped off a sprinkler system to refill a pond. I know they have water fill valves in aquascapes can you hook those up to the sprinkler lines and have it fill the pond when the system goes on?

yes, sprinkler lines can be used to fill ponds, but filling the pond should not be done at the same time as watering.

I'd think you would have to run a seperate zone for it. You would loose a lot of pressure if the pond was low and you tried to run a zone at the same time.

WHat type of valves do you guys recommend. I'm an irrigation contractor with a customer that has requested that I install one in his pond

Is the sprinkler on treated water? Fish don't seem to like clorine

You could do just a regular sprinkler valve that takes the common and signal lines. Or you could do a manual on/off ball valve.
