Filling in ruts

What is a good way to fill in the 1-2" ruts made by moving vans in well established zoysia grass? Can't see them, but boy do I feel them!!!
A friend suggested sand spread on before a rain will wash down to the low spots, I was thinking if I could make liquid mud, it might do sort of the same thing. (I know sounds stupid, but I ride that ztr for 11 hours a week thus plenty of thinking time, plus the weedeating) thanks for any help. DaveVB
