Oil Change

Hey -
I bought a 36" Toro Eaglestar Walk Behind Mower. It's got a Kawasaki FB460V engine on it, and my question is how many quartz of oil do I need to to put in it?

I was told between 1 and 1 1/2 of 10W30 Oil. I drained the oil, and just want to get a second opinion.

I might end up just buying the owners manual, since I dont know about the Oil Filter, Gas Filter and Air Filters and when to replace them.

Any advice?

I have the 14horse Kaw. It takes right around 1.5 quarts. I add one full quart, then about 1/4, checking after each quarter. Once its in the "full" range on the dip stick, I run it for a little while to to get the oil around the system. After sitting I check it again and add as needed.

FYI- I pre fill the filter to reduce the pressure lag.
