Hi Nick,

Here is a quote from this site.

"WHO CAN ENTER INTO A CONTRACT?
Minors and the mentally incompetent lack the legal capacity to enter into contracts. All others are generally assumed to have full power to bind themselves by entering into contracts. In most states, the legal age for entering into contracts is 18."

To enter a "Written Contract", in the State of Florida, you can be the age of 15, however the contract must be in very simple language. There is no "per sea" requirment that you have to be 18 to enter a contract. If something should happen, you would just have to show you are of sound "mind & body" when the contract was made and signed and that the other signing party was of "sound mind & body". A good website to search Florida Statutes and Civil Rules is www.MyFlorida.com. Hope this helps.
