In PA you can do it yourself too. Can get the forms off the net. Costs $75 to register Fictious Name state wide if you do it yourself. Costs you $300 to have a lawyer do it.

No wonder people hate lawyers.

Georgetown county, SC tells me that only partnerships and corps can register name.

Sole props can DBA

When I inquire about filing a DBA certificate, NOBODY knows what the he** I'm talking about

The scary part is that nobody will tell me that I dont need to file, because they dont know what the he** I'm talking about!

I've moved on. It's my guess that nobody knows for a reason.
