thatching

i need to thatch 4,000 sq feet, and im not sure what to charge, plus i have to rent the dethatcing, should i charge them for that also.

Your better off raking it out by hand with a 30" rake then wasting money on renting a de-thatcher for one lawn. It should take 1 man no more then 1 and a half hours to rake out that size lawn. That is if the lawn itself is 4000 sq ft and your not counting the house.
