Bed Edger When Wet??

I have some mulch jobs i need to get done. Will a bed edger work when the ground is wet? I have only used them when it's dry and I figure it would plug up. Anyone know?

I heard that it was ok as long as it wasn't soaking wet and the ground is firm to walk on. Any other thoughts, or is does everyone just agree that it isn't doable after it rains?

This new forum doesn't see much action.
