BR600 not starting?

Please excuse my ignorance but I'm not mechanically inclined and I can't seem to get it started. It started up and I let it run for a couple of minutes. I pulled the throttle and it stopped running. I tried and tried to start it but nothing. I waited a day and primed it five times and can pull the handle but it just won't turn over. I removed the spark plug and air filter and their was fuel on the plug and around the gasket of the filter. Did I flood it? I've been trying for three days but it just won't turn over. This happened six months ago so I took it to the stihl dealer. It took a week before they could even look at it and it just started right up for them. What the hell am I doing wrong?

Two possible things......water in the gas and a really dirty aircleaner. I learned this the hard way.

I siphoned the gas out and replaced it with new fuel and the air filter is brand new.

What? You've suddenly become the forum police. This is the second time you've answered that way.

It's really hard to fix this stuff over the Internet.

1: How old is the fuel?
2: How much fuel was in the tank?
3: How old is the blower?

Chech the fuel line over time the gas will eat right through the line. This has happened to me a couple of times.

The fuel is only a couple days old and it was about 3/4 of the way full. The blower is only two years old but it is strictly for residental use so it doesn't nearly have the hours on it like the commercial users. I'll check the fuel line next. The funny thing is the longer it sits (weeks) the easier it is to start. Thank for helping out a newbie!
