hi everyone Im opening a new dealerdhip and was wondering on advice on which mower line to carry

hustler 25 miles, gravely,dixie chopper 25 miles yard shark 10 miles everything else 50 miles we live in country land so most will be sold to farms and large properties

Husqvarna, and dixon would be a good one.- hear husqvarna group is good to their dealers

Hustler, Scag these are my favorite brands - but with your plan being selling to Farms, I am assuming you plan on selling to mainly residential farm owners - may look at bad boys - they are more affordable to the residential owners. The issues I have heard from many dealers though about Bad Boy is that they do not like carrying because it seems to take longer to get parts. This would not effect you ability to service most residential customers however it could lower your chances of getting pros unless you plan on having a bunch of overhead trying to stock every part for bad boys.
Also - with Farmers - they tend to be very loyal to brands - John Deere maybe a good option if that is a primary equipment used in the field.
Another thing to consider is that you state you think your primary customer will be farmers or those that own large properties. I do not know about NC, but in MO where I am originally from, farmers tending to use underbelly mowers on their smaller tractors to maintain their properties. Are you sure this is going to be your primary customer? Just saying because you need to really think about your primary customer and who they will be.

John Deere or Grasshopper. We have a lot of farmer types over here in the East and it's either JD or Grasshopper for them.

Farmers, just make sure it has a steering wheel!

I would go with JD because they have the full spectrum of mowers & brand loyalty thing too!

I will vote for Deere. Farmers know that name in the agriculture industry and I would assume they would feel comfortable with deere.

if your in farm country there may already be a deere dealer nearby...dixie choppers cut a lot of acres fast...
