Quicken vs QuickBooks
As a small & fairly new company which is currently using the Quicken Home & Business system I am reading alot of post about QuickBooks. We are looking to expand our company in 2010 so with this in mind I think I need to possible go with QuickBooks system. Which system would you recommends for a newer expanding company QuickBooks Simple Start, Pro or the Premier>.

Quick Book Pro. I've used both. Quick Book Pro includes tutorials (my Quicken version did not), and prompts you through the setup. You can setup different prices for different customers automatically. This helps when invoicing. Also keeps customer database, purchase history, and you can even keep inventory on it (I don't care for the inventory feature).

Quickbooks pro is the best bet. Unless you feel you want the very few extra options for premier. Simple start is just what it is.
It is a teaser program that is very limited.
You also want to check with your accountant on what versions they support.
2010 is out now but my accountant does not have that version yet. So I am still on a older version.

Business Software
As a landscape contractor who does a lot of large project and small project estimates, I use Quickbooks Pro. In some ways Quickbooks is not that user friendly and they want to sell you more of thier services. However it has some very powerful features and you can customize your invoices and E-mail them to the customer, insert your company logo, etc. The Invoicing system is great, so you can tailor any service of your company to be shown on each invoice or estimate.
JUST DONT HIT the 'REVERT' button!

Go with Quickbooks Pro. Its a an excellent product, easy to use. Take a little while to set up so set aside some extra time if you have several accounts or offer serveral services.
