Nice setup! Is it gas or diesel? The upside to the gas is when they go it's cheaper to get a short block then diesel parts.

I don't think the fiberglass body should be a problem, ABC(Americas Body Company) is owned by Reading and is a very reputable body builder. Ask if he has service records on the truck.

That's good to know. They don't have any records or can remember which truck they did what too. One of the workers I talk to knew more about it than the owners. He said they have owned it for about 4 years and when they got it they did a normal tune up and brakes. Had new headers done for a leak and the bearing that holds the driveshaft. No new trams like the other said. The truck ran good except for some shuttling in the brakes. Some other things is that it is 18ft not 16ft passenger door is all banged up, and the 5.7 motor has your normal intake leak that the newer 5.7 get. They didn't say anything about the leak but the over flow was empty and the radiator was low. They have probably only put 10k on it since they got it. I'm thinking it over but the price is going to have to come down. First time in a cabover and it's a rough ride with no power but great turning radius.

Nothing compares to the npr

I have mowed out of a 1993 Npr with the 4 cylinder turbo diesel for the past two years. It will spoil you bad. I would spend thousands of dollars to keep my npr running. There is no way I would ever go back to pulling a trailer. I have less than 10k in my truck. Thats with new tires, a new turbo ( which cost more than 1k) , new exhaust, a new bed, 2 foot x 14 foot signs on the side, and two 8 foot long tool boxes as well as two 24inch under body tool boxes. Oh yea and new paint.

Talked to the guy yesterday and he said he would get the intake leak and breaks done. He said he would take 4k for it. Even though it's not 100 percent what I'm looking for at that price I think it will make a good starter box truck. What do y'all think?

Well I bought the truck for 4k! I will try to take some before and after pictures to show the progress of it. It will be a summer long project because of money and time. Dovetail first then paint and graphics then exterior fuel tank of some type for equipment.
