i was in the mind set of bigger is better but I don't want to go to big that the seating wall is a waste of material and be un functional. 6 ft seems small. I was thinking 10-12 form center fire pit with a 36 in pit. Painted out it looks small.

We usually go 8-10' radius. That's with a 36" ring. 12' is to large if you want the seat wall to be usable.
