Did you cut the slots in the faceplate yourself with a saw?
I designed the face plates to fit flush with the final finish. I installed standard 8" recessed boxes today, and the front edge of them are flush with the roughed in concrete block (minus their original face plate). The 3/4" veneer will be installed in a few days, which will place the front edge of the boxes 3/4" recessed into the wall. Then the rectangular holes will be cut into the veneer, slightly larger than the dimension of the box. Once completed, there will be nothing about the face plate that will extend beyond the finished surface. My only challenge now is to figure out how to eliminate the cut line and screws that will be needed to hold the face plate in place....... yet still allow me to access the fixture body in the future if necessary. I don't think this will be possible, but I'm still gonna try to figure out some way to do it. Suggestions are always appreciated.
