The 6.0 in a ford is a joke. I trust my 7.3 with 300k more than I trust my 6.0 with 125k. Worst truck purchase I have made!

Ditto!! Keep the 6.0 if you have an extra 10k burning a hole in your pocket!

My 7.3 is so long, and it's illegal to cut frames in Massachusetts. Other than changing an injector and oil cooler lines the 6.0 has been really reliable. I hear the trick is to keep them stock.

I made the mistake of buying a 6.0. DON'T do it. Junk the 6.0 as soon as you can. DO NOT drive it as you never know when it will die and it WILL take a lot of money to fix it.

That's the trick to avoid blowing head gaskets - keep stock and don't tow heavy through the mountains. However with a stock oil cooler oil will eventually infiltrate the coolant, then the egr cooler flow will slow down, then the coolant will boil in the stock egr cooler and cause leaks, then coolant will enter the intake/egr system, then it will blow head gaskets with potential for hydro lock and damage to internal components.

Oil cooler is the cheap mod that should be done first on a good running 6.0. Egr delete should be performed on any used 6.0 with some miles already on it.

I have owned four 6.0's with absolutely no issues! All with over 200K miles! Yes, some have their issues but the hype on the internet is freaking ridiculous.

Infact, I look for the 6.0's now because you can get them for so cheap from tards that believe everything they hear online. People get online to complain.
