I recently purchased Honda's 35cc 4-cycle trimmer that uses straight gas. Can't say enough about the quality, power and smoothness. The sump holds less than 4oz of oil and should be changed every 50 hours after the 10 hour break-in oil is changed. It is heavy, but so are all the big boy 32cc+ trimmers.

I agree. If you like a 4 stroke trimmer, then check out the Honda's. They are darn nice machines. I haven't run one, but I have handled them, and with Honda's rep, you can hardly go wrong. I don't think Valk's was all that expensive in the scheme of things these days.

Yep, $404 for a 4-cycle Honda badazz ain't too shabby. What this thing can do just off idle is a world apart from what my other lower-end commercial trimmers at mid throttle can only dream of. Impressive is all I can say. Full throttle isn't even needed thus far...but it's there if/when I ever do need it. No joke.
