Irrigation with 2 Meters connected

What is the benefit to an irrigation system that has the main line looped and connected to two irrigation meters?
I know that the loop cuts the length and GPM in half when calculating pressure losses. Does the extra meter cut PSI loss? Does it add to available GPM? If anyone could point me to some useful information on this subject I would greatly appreciate it.

A looped line IS the advantage of your situation. If you compared a looped system and a dead-end system, you will have better pressure across the board. It doesn't add to the GPM, your sprinkler's can only put out so much water at max pressure. Why do you have two meter's? Do you mean city water meter's? Can you post picture's of these valve's?
