Everyone you talk to who had either say they've put more money in it than they should. luckily most of mine was under extented warranty. Mine is just dead for power too.

you had bad luck.....I don't know a single person that has owned a 6.5 that every has ANYTHING good to say about them. I know probably 5-6 guys that have had them and have read quite a bit. I know a lot of guys have had trouble with the 6.0's. I'm just saying.....don't make the 6.5 out to be a cummins.

I had a 6.0 ford and I never had any problems with the engine. But at 60,000 miles the transmission blew apart. I was told by the ford dealer this was a common problem with those truck when used to plow snow. I was expecting to spend money on the engine but never did and it had 80,000 miles on it when I sold it. I felt like it was not the most powerful truck either compared to my old 7.3s. I ran those trucks in the ground and never did a thing to them. I am not saying this 6.5 is a cummins but I am well aware of the issues they have and I know once those are fixed guys have pretty good luck with them.

not knocking you or your new truck olmod, just saying......knocking the 6.0 and saying the 6.5 is the answer is a little off.

I never compared the 6.5 to a cummins. No way near a cummins. All 6.0 have had some type of engine work before they hit 100k, which imo is a joke. You think diesel, you think longevity. I know the 6.5 were problematic. Some duramaxs had problems too. Early cummins had problems too. All brands have had problems, and will in the future. Funny how we have all brainy people working on these engines an produce fuss.
