How to set valves

I need to set the valves on my kawi fx801v how do I know witch valve is exhaust and witch one intake and how do I turn the pistons and know they are in the rite position.

Intake top, Exhaust bottom......

No offense as everyone has to start somewhere. But, I would probably have someone that has set valves before help you. This is not an exact science, there is a feel of how to set them.

tip: take out the spark plugs and the motor will turn more freely (b/c it wont build compression). Take off the bird cage off the top of the motor and you can spin the motor by hand.

The diagram above shows the top cover off already to get the flywheel at the proper position, Also...... A novas likely wouldn't find compression stroke with the plugs out, Just leave them in and rotate a little harder.......
