Belt Walkbehind Mower Sulky?

I was wondering if you can use a sulky with a belt driven walkbehind? Mower is a Scag 48" belt drive with 16hp engine? Will the mower be strong enough and not have the belts slip? I have never operated a belt machine before? Thanks - Mike

Havner is probably the worst piece of crap made. The most heavy duty sulky is the exmark stand-on.

I bought my first belt drive in 1997 and have been using sulkies with belt drives ever since.

I have only ever used a Jungle Jim sulky and the Havner 2 wheel one. The Havner is much better of a sulky than the Jungle Jim, and cost me a lot less as well. In the 2 years I had the Jungle Jim I had to replace both wheel hubs, and could never get the thing off the mower if I wanted to walk.

I have had the Havner for like 5 years. I maintain the Havner the same as the Jungle Jim, and only problems I have ever had was tiny leaks in the tire tubes before I added slime. Easily removes from the mower, or folds up out of the way and stays put.
