Sometimes you have to simply take it slow when working with landscape designers, LS architects and the like. Irks me to no end how some of these clowns proclaim to know what should be done when they have no clue. I'll let them call the shots on the first one or two, just to get into the inner circle of the network, but nobody ever said I'm not allowed to visit with the client after everyone has completed the project and prove to the homeowner that they could be much happier. It's always fun after that when you can tell the LS designer to check out the improvements that "the client wanted". It doesn't take them long to back off and give you some latitude on the next one as long as you don't hurt their pride...... but that's the biggest challenge.
