The Exmark in the OP is virtually identical to what I just bought and I can't find any information on it. What I could find on the mower is ("48-11B-P" and then under that "10856"). I assume that is model and serial number.

I picked it up for $300, it has a newer Honda 389cc motor ($800) that runs and cuts great.

The problem is the transmission has some issues; it is all out full speed, all the time. I have no manuals and no informtion on the mower. Frankly, I am trying to figure out how the thing works and is put together.

It cuts great, but using the breaks as speed control ain't gonna cut it for long.

Any ideas on where to go for "vintage" Exmark information?

I had to pull it to start it but this guy is setting up motor battery ignition.... I will check into your mower if you want that might be enough information to go by.... Take some pics of it and send me to my email zeman45@gmail.com talk to you later...
