DDT was questioned in 1962 and banned in 1972, and yes I know it was used and was very harmful. But at that time we also used lead based paints and fuels. Its called evolution.... We learn by trial and error and that much nitrogen+ other chemicals could greatly effect the water and earth around it. If you think it doesnt need to be cleaned then go dump a ton of fert. chemicals on your lawn and dig a well. I think most on here would agree with me that it needs to be cleaned up to EPA standards.
