Never have changed a pulley on my mowers. They don't really wear. I do check them for burrs, but that's about it. Sometimes if you break a belt the pulley can rebound and get dinged up a bit.

I had to change pulleys on my old mower. wouldnt pull and ate up belts. my toro is newer. so im not sure at what age you need to start changing them.
