Hello and welcome!

We offer poop scoop as an add on service to mowing, and charge the same base rate you do. Its nice since we are already there to mow, and it requires no real training or special equipment and can be done pretty quickly, and then we don't have to step in it and get it on our mowers. Don't get rich off of it, but have about 15-20 customers we scoop for on a regular basis. We also do it as needed, but sometimes our guys get slack about it unless its an every week customer, going to push it more this season, its easy money.

What is your go to equipment for scooping? We've used some smaller scoopers, both spring loaded type and the small rake with dustpan style looking ones, but now just use a shovel and 5 gallon bucket with a bag in it. seems to be more efficient, but I'm open for suggestion and you have probably done much more research than I have in that area.

I'd second reaching out to local lawn care companies, most from what I've seen don't want to mess with it, but I'm sure would prefer if it was picked up before they mowed and people that pay for lawn service could also afford poop service. Good luck this season!

Regular shovel and 5 gallon bucket with a double plastic liner or thicker plastic bag is what I use at home. Those little dust pan sweeper dealy bobers look slowish to me. I'm already and expert in it since grade school.

Also picking up after the smaller dogs seems like it would be hassle since it's tougher to spot. One of my clients has a Chihuahua and I just mow over it.
