does anyone think that it may be more worth while getting it welded at a shop? The prices aren't that cheap really. Yes, worth paying for piece of mind but not if it's going to break your stuff.

The Extreme series 1 (they were gray) did have some breakage issues at the mounting base. GreenTouch replaced that free of charge with a hammered gray finish replacement with all the new updates as the current yellow ones (series 2).

Great company to deal with IMHO. I also bought the engine support after I had a edger shaft break but I mounted the uprights closer than I should have allowing too much flex from both ends. So that was my fault. Since the support kit installation I've had no issues at all. Too many benefits with the GreenTouch Extreme trimmer rack to warrant any change.
